That has to be one of the most challenging sermons ive ever heard in my 75years. I can’t turn a blind eye to what has been going on for hundreds of years. I hope i can respond to the challenge in ways that are meaningful. On both a micro (person to person) and macro level. This perhaps should wake up people to support candidates who are willing to admit how short sighted we have ben and how much we have been in denial as a church in terms of admitting our almost total lack of empathy to the whole issue of racism. Thanks for your leadership on this – it was very daring of you. Shocking that it should be so!!! Jim Huebert. Mary’s brother.
